With more than 25 years of experience in the Oil Industry, Suelopetrol is an independent Venezuelan Oil Producer and Services Company with over 900 employees.

The E&P division is focused on exploration, development and acquisition of Oil & Gas assets in Latin America, while the Services branch offers Seismic Data Acquisition, Processing & Interpretation, Drilling, Logistics, Reservoir Studies and Oil Field Management.

The parent company is headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela, and runs operations through wholly-owned subsidiaries in Houston, Ecuador, Colombia and México, assuring growth in two main business units:

COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS

*** NEWS: On February 10th 2010, Suelopetrol C.A. in Consortium with USA’s Chevron, and Japan’s Mitsubishi & Inpex, was awarded Project #3 (blocks Carabobo 2 Sur, Carabobo 3 Norte & Carabobo 5) in the Orinoco Belt Heavy Oil Bidding Process, in Eastern Venezuela. The Project will produce between 400,000 and 480,000 barrels of oil per day during 40 years out of proven recoverable reserves.

E&P interests in Oil fields in Venezuela, United States and Ecuador, holding in total over 100 million Barrels Oil in gross recoverable reserves (Proven + Probable) and producing close to 10.000 Barrels of Oil per Day net to the company's working interest.
Venezuelan market leader since 1996 in 2D & 3D Seismic Data Acquisition.
Working interest in "Monclova Pirineo Gas SA de CV", an Operating and Services Consortium that operates two large gas blocks in Mexico, producing over 150 million Cubic Feet of Natural Gas per Day.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Suelopetrol’s "Corporate Social Responsibility" program (CSR) is well known among local communities with whom Suelopetrol interacts both during E&P and Services Projects. As a best practice, the Project "Arature" in the flooded jungles of the Venezuelan Orinoco Delta has been funded entirely by Suelopetrol, benefiting many Warao indigenous families for more than 18 years. This initiative of working side by side with the Boca de Tigre Eco-Camp in the River Delta is a model of Ecotourism preserving nature.
